Through the generosity of our church family, we were able to contribute $1,000 to provide two Christmas hampers for families in need through the Children’s Foundation of Guelph Wellington. Each hamper will bring joy and hope to two families, with gifts for their children, ensuring they experience the love and warmth of the season. As a church, we are honoured to share in this opportunity to bless others, making Christmas a little brighter for those facing difficult times. Thank you to our Outreach Team, JUST RIGHT, for making this happen!
Topping Up Food Cupboards
As a church, this December we were blessed to contribute $2,000 to The Seed, $1000 to Chalmers, and $1000 to a vital food program of the Guelph Community Health Centre. With local food cupboards running low on supplies, this donation will help ensure that those facing hunger in our community receive the nourishment they need. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbours.

$1000 for Groceries and Pantry Items
As a church we were able to allocate up to $1,000 to purchase groceries and pantry items, helping to stock a guest house for Ukrainian refugees. This support ensures that those in need have access to essential food and supplies as they begin rebuilding their lives. Thank you for your generous giving!
Supporting A Family In Need
We are deeply moved to share how our church community has come together to support a Syrian refugee family facing challenging circumstances. A mother of four, whose husband is currently on medical leave, has been struggling to pay her bills and is at risk of losing their housing.
In response to her situation, we were able to provide $1,500 in assistance. This support will help alleviate some of the financial pressure and ensure that the family has a safe place to call home during this difficult time.
Our hearts go out to this family, and we are grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact in their lives. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this effort through your continual tithes and offerings to the church—your kindness truly makes a difference. 💖
A Helping Hand
We’re pleased to share that we were able to provide $500 in cash assistance to a woman who has been caring for her elderly parents during a challenging transition. Recently, she moved into her parents' condo to help them prepare for nursing care, putting her own apartment and furniture in storage.
Now, she has found a small apartment of her own but faces significant financial strain from driving her parents around, maintaining the storage unit, and hiring movers. Despite these challenges, she remains focused on serving others and has not been connected to a church or other support networks.
A little boost from our community can make a real difference for her during this tough time. Thank you for your continued support in helping those in need! 💛
Community Support: Feeding those in need
We had an opportunity to team up with Your Downtown Guelph Friends and the Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition to make a difference. With a generous $2,000 donation, we’ll help provide 300 to 400 meals each week in October 2024.
This funding will cover essential supplies like drinks and takeout containers, supporting the incredible work of the Royal City Mission (RCM) in addressing food insecurity.
Thank you to everyone involved! Your generosity is helping nourish our community, one meal at a time. Let’s keep making a difference together! 🍽️❤️
Supporting a family in transition
We’re excited to share how our church community has united to support a mother and her two young daughters as they transition from a women’s shelter into their own apartment. With generous donations from our congregation, we gathered essential furnishings—beds, dressers, a couch, and more—to help fill their new home.
In addition, our Just Right Outreach team allocated $500 to cover a few gaps, allowing us to purchase a bed frame, new mattress pads, pillows, and bedding. This effort involved the dedication of around 11 different individuals and families from our church, showcasing the incredible spirit of our community.
Unfortunately, the move initially scheduled for Labour Day had to be postponed due to an unexpected issue—the apartment was infested with cockroaches! As of September 9, we’re still waiting to move forward, but we’re ready to deliver the furnishings as soon as the family is set to go.
Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this project. Your kindness and support make a real difference in the lives of those in need, and we look forward to helping this family settle into their new home soon! 🌟❤️
Mops, Brooms and Vacuums Donated to Women in Crisis
As a church, we were able to make a meaningful contribution to the Guelph Wellington Women in Crisis. We purchased four each of mops, brooms, and vacuums to help support women transitioning into new homes after fleeing abusive situations. While care packages often focus on essentials, household cleaning tools are frequently overlooked. Our aim is to provide these women with the tools they need to create a fresh start in their new spaces. Together, we can make a positive impact on their journeys toward independence and healing. Thank you for your continued support in our mission! 💪❤️
